torontogoth.. FYI, the Plastik Wrap shop is open again for business!

PLASTIK WRAP boutique on 2235 Dundas st. west RE-opened.
(2 min south from Dunas west subway station)
Opening hours: Monday, Wednesday - Saturday: noon-8.00pm
Tuesday closed
Sunday: noon-6.00 pm
http://www.plastikwrap.com/
--
I've heard nothing but good about their clothing quality, and I like the styles. I still don't have anything by them, but plan to change that situation soon, when I find the time to visit the boutique and try on some clothes. I can't buy clothing (except tshirts) without trying it on, otherwise it will fit funny.

Here are the topics for today's posts, some I summarized, some I copied the key line. The majority make me want to scream, especially the bold ones and I can't look at that community anymore so bye bye.

Dear fellow community members,
It seems that so many of you are having problems finding apartments on your own. I am sure it is a last resort for you to post here in hopes that someone will find you an apartment.
I am sorry that you don't know how to read, otherwise I am sure you would use rental magazines.
I am sorry that you are crippled, otherwise I am sure you would walk around and write down phone numbers and information.
I am sorry that you don't know how to use the internet very well, otherwise I am sure you would use one of those rental websites.
Yes, I am so very sorry that you can't find an apartment on your own.
Oh, and while I'm on the topic of being sorry, let's move on to the topic of where to buy _______. I am sorry you don't know how to use tools (like google, the phonebook or your brain) to figure out for yourself just where to buy that illusive ______.
Yes indeed, I am so sorry.
Sincerely,
Dementia

The International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination is observed annually on 21 March. On that day, in 1960, police opened fire and killed 69 people at a peaceful demonstration in Sharpeville, South Africa, against the apartheid "pass laws". Proclaiming the Day in 1966, the General Assembly called on the international community to redouble its efforts to eliminate all forms of racial discrimination.

For some reason the important posts are often the difficult ones to write. I used to have some viewpoints I"m not proud of, but that was the past - the important point is that I did change and I think much differently now, and I have for a while now.
I've ignored so many things (livejournal, in person) for so long now, but everybody reaches a breaking point, and after reading some things on here, I've reached mine. I no longer have room in my life for racists, and this includes my friends list on livejournal, which I have just adjusted accordingly.
Maybe I'm wrong about a few of you, and if I am feel free to tell me so and explain to me how I've misinterpreted your post and/or actions. But to be perfectly honest, there are a few of you where it is quite obvious what your viewpoints are, there is no room for misinterpreting them. I cannot be friends with someone who can write such words, and more alarmingly, believe them.
Dem.
PS If I"ve missed you, please remove yourself and I'll reciprocate.

so it's been just over 6 years since steven emailed me asking me to help out on toronto-goth.com. it's funny the things one remembers, i was coming back from clubbing and falling down drunk, as usual, around 4am, got his email, wrote back and said sure and it went from there.
and went it did. i became so involved with the site and did so much, so many different things, it hurts my brain if i think about it too much. it became such a big part of my life, perhaps too much at times. and yeah, it's just a website, i do realize that. but it was more than that, and it's hard to understand unless you've walked in my boots.
so it's been 6 interesting years.
both good and bad came out of doing the site. good and bad come out of life.
since 2000, lots of changes, both personally, and in the toronto scene.
i'm not really in a reflective mood so i'll stop there,
just making a notation.
happy anniversary to me. 6 years is a long time.

I am really looking forward to the Sisters of Mercy show tonight.
The last time I saw them was maybe around 1998.
Off the top of my head, the top 3 songs that I hope to hear:
Lucretia
More
Some Kind of Stranger
See some of you at the show!
Afterward the concert: maybe Savage or Neutral but it's up in the air..
--
TG stuff: the shirts have been ordered, and should be in next week. I'll keep you updated. I updated the Catacombs site with some pictures from the Feb. 19th night with Restricted Viewing. Thanks to Plastik Wrap for their march sponsorship of toronto-goth.
Other, Still really busy and behind in stuff.

Doing an order next week, but from a different company than before, and they will take a really small order which is perfect. They use "100% preshrunk cotton top of the line AAA brand shirts, longsleeves, girly t's and hoodies" so I think that will be good.
The shirts will be black, the toronto-goth.com logo will white and around 4 inches long, so subtle and not overpowering.
The sizes are S, M, L & XL (XXL, XXXL is available in everything but babydoll and is an extra $2) and the prices are:
Regular tshirts (mens) - $6
Ladies/babydolls - $8
Longsleeve shirts - $8
Hoodies - $18
Comment if interested, with size/type you're thinking about getting (no firm commitment needed, but at least a vague one would be good :)
